Lamor Group is sad to announce the sudden death of its Chairman, Mr. Bent Larsen, who died following a sudden attack during his vacation in Sicily in the early hours of Monday 6th October 2008, aged 51 years.

In mid February 2008, Clean Globe Gulf responded to an oil spill that occurred as the result of a sinking vessel. The 23 meter yacht caught fire and burned near yacht Marina Bander Rowdha, in the vicinity of Muscat, Oman.

Clean Globe International Ltd (CGI) is expanding its oil spill recovery service centres to Russia and the neighbouring countries. The project will be financed by loans and investments from EBRD, Finnfund, NEFCO and Lamor Group.
Clean Globe International (CGI) has established a subsidiary in Oman - Clean Globe Gulf (CGG). To begin with, CGG operates two oil spill response centers and also equips them with Lamor oil spill response equipment. The centers can also take care of port waste, especially oily waste. In the first phase, the Finnish company will deliver oil spill response equipment to Oman worth ca. one million euros, and the amount of equipment will increase as more service contracts are signed. In addition to the service contracts, the client will pay CGG separately for the clean-up costs in case an oil spill accident occurs.
The Finnish company Lamor Corporation Ab and its sister company Clean Globe International Ltd have entered into a significant agreement regarding oil spill response for the sea areas covering the southern Atlantic. The European Union’s Maritime and Safety Agency selected the Finnish Lamor Group to establish and equip a new oil spill response center on the Atlantic coast in Sines in Portugal. The value of the agreement that EMSA ratified on Friday is 3.4 million euros, with an additional option for three more years.
